VIRTUAL CELEBRATION OF THE 72nd REPUBLIC DAY OF INDIA

Indian School Sohar celebrated the 72nd Republic Day of India on 26th January 2021, on a virtual platform with great magnificence.

The Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, welcomed all, articulated clearly the true meaning of patriotism and highlighted the importance of the Constitution.

‘Vande Mataram’, the National song, was sung melodiously by the Mr. Mamtaj Hossain Chowdhury and Ms. Maitrayi Mamtaj Chowdhury the music teachers of the school. The tiny tots of Classes I and II beautifully displayed their art in the form of drawings related to our motherland India. They displayed their creativity and imagination through a video, ‘I Love My India’. Pritika Kishore of Class VI delivered a stirring speech and evoked our love for India.

A collaborative dance on 'Pyare Watan’ was beautifully presented by the enthusiastic students of Class III to V. This ignited the spirit of patriotism and brotherhood among all the viewers. Not to leave any stone unturned 'ABHIBYAKTI’ the Cultural Club of the school presented a short documentary on the National symbols of India. The students of Class VI-VIII sang a melodious patriotic group song 'Hum Hindustani’ and a danced to the tune of ‘Desh Rangila’.

Shashvat Upadhyay and Sarisha Gupta compered the programme with great fervor and patriotism. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Sruthi Pillai of Class VII, followed by the National Anthem.           

The virtual event came off with éclat ringing a message in every heart to create a great nation through collective efforts.
