Every school has its anthem which echoes the hopes and aspirations of the school. The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma conceptualized this idea of having our school anthem. Having taught in this school for more than 27 years, Mr. Yashvir Singh, Supervisor of Secondary Section and a poet at heart translated her inspiration and vision in the form of words. He wrote the lyrics which would bring a sense of pride of being a part of Indian School Sohar in the hearts of all the students and members of the school. Composing poems is Mr. Singh’s passion. His debut book of poetry 'ABHINAV SURBHIT KALIYAN', was published in 2016 and his second book 'AFSANE JINDAGI KE’ will be published soon.
The credit of composing and arranging the music goes to musical couple Mr. Mamtaj Hossain Chowdhury and Mrs. Maitrayi Mamtaj, Music teachers of our school.
Keeping in tradition of Hindustani classical music the song is composed in rag desh and taal kaharwa.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma has personally worked to bring to reality her vision of having the school anthem. Her passion and thoughtfulness can be seen in the flawless musical video where she has paid attention to every detail embellishing it with her creative touches through her direction, which has resulted into a meaningful, elegant and incredible video.
