“The earth has enough resources for our need, but not for our greed" - Mahatma Gandhi

Every year on June 5th, World Environment Day is celebrated to create awareness about the protection of the planet.  This year, the UN officially launched the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, which runs from 2021-2030. Theme of World Environment Day 2021 is “Reimagine. Recreate. Restore.” The theme means to prevent, halt and reverse the damage – to go from exploiting nature to healing it.

To observe the day, the Principal and the patron of Green Gyan Eco Club- Ms. Sanchita Verma forwarded an appeal, ' Let us do a good deed' - “Reimagine. Recreate. Restore.” to the students, parents and faculty members of Indian School Sohar. The appeal was widely accepted by the ISS team!

An astounding contribution by the students and teachers was witnessed on the ISSohar#Combat Corona Creatively. Students uploaded upcycling and reusing projects. The Eco Club is thankful to the students for their wholehearted support and urges them to continue the good deed as and when they get an opportunity.
