Indian School Sohar forms the Student Council every year to inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body. “The time is always right to do what is right” Therefore, in spite of the trying times, and pandemic situations, this year also the school provided the chance for the Student Council to come forward and contribute by investing them with office, authority and dignity. The school witnessed the Virtual Investiture Ceremony of the new School Council on August 14th, 2021 on the Zoom platform. The simple and short function prepared them to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school. Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma welcomed the gathering and introduced the Selection Panel. She acknowledged their effort with gratitude. She also highlighted the selection procedure corroborating how prudently the leaders were nominated to form the Council and enthused them to have dreams, to face difficulties and to aim to touch the stars.
The Council Members for the new session were introduced and awarded with virtual badges and sashes. The Principal administered the oath thereafter. The School Captains along with the other Council Members took the oath to uphold the spirit and integrity of the school and promised to discharge their duties faithfully and honestly without fear or favour taking the school to newer heights and resplendence. The Principal congratulated the newly elected members and gave a call to every member of the School Council to be exemplary and serve the school well.
The School Captain (Girls), Krithyaa Vijayanand, expressed the determination of her to do the extraordinary to benefit the school and the student community. The School Captain (Boys), Rohan Suchithran expressed their gratitude for endowing them with the responsibilities of these prestigious posts and assured to be mindful of the expectation. Also, he proposed the Vote of Thanks. With the prayer not for a lighter load, but for a strong shoulder, the new Council took up their responsibility. The predominant passion, vibrant vision and insatiable zest reflected their strong determination to lead their School towards the zenith of splendor.

House Captain (Yellow) : Syed Jasra & Cherish Varughese Binny
The simple but solemn ceremony came to an end with the School Anthem envisaging an ambiance of pride and vigour.
