INDIAN SCHOOL SOHAR CELEBRATES CHILDREN’S DAY VIRTUALLY

Children spread joy and happiness in every season

as they are the most beautiful creation of God.

Every year, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th  November in India to commemorate the birthday of the nation’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

Indian School Sohar celebrated this auspicious day virtually this year with enthusiasm and fervor. The programme commenced by invoking the blessings of God almighty with a prayer song. Krithyaa Vijayanand, School Captain (Girl), delivered a speech emphasizing  the importance of the Day.

The Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, in her address reiterated the fact that childhood is the best phase of one’s life and children are an essential component towards nation-building and the way they are brought up will determine how the country would progress and shape up in the future.

A  variety program was presented by the teachers for their beloved students, which included dances, songs, and skits. The teachers of KG-II showcased the beauty of Indian women clad in the traditional attire of India, Saree. TikTok fever and Comic Skit - Back to School by the teachers of III to V, the Medley of Influences & Dance Drill by the teachers of VI-VIII mesmerized the students. The teachers of 9 to 12 enthralled the students with a magnificent dance performance. The Grand finale ‘Sapno ka karwa’ by ‘Abhivyakti’- the Cultural Club of the school with the dynamic principal in the lead, was appreciated by one and all.

The teachers of KG to II following all covid protocols, tried to rekindle the spirit and happiness of the day in the tiny tots of KG by celebrating this momentous day in the school auditorium with lots of enthusiasm. 

All the students present during the offline classes were given chocolates as a token of love. Rohan Suchithran, School Captain (Boy), proposed the vote of thanks. The students were overwhelmed by the efforts made by the teachers to make them feel special. They were astonished to see their teachers turning into performers and winning their hearts. The Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma applauded the teachers for putting up a wonderful show.
