As part of the ongoing celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ( AKAM ), the Department of Posts (DoP), Ministry of Communication, along with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, launched the 75 Lakh Post Card Campaign for the school students. Indian School Sohar students also participated in the event.

Topics :- Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Struggle and My vision for India in 2047
746 students of Indian School Sohar from classes IV to XII participated in the event. They expressed themselves in various Indian languages. The students were enthusiastic to learn about Unsung heroes of Freedom struggle of the country and from their regions. They were also delighted to see these cards, which were once used by the masses as a mode of communication. This event also gave students an opportunity to create their own vision for their motherland, India after hundred years of Independence in 2047.
This event was planned by the Government of India to give an opportunity to the young citizens of the country to know about the glorious history of India’s people, culture and achievements. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) is a tribute to the Freedom Fighters and the Freedom Movement of India.
