“How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world.”
                                                                               ― William Shakespeare

Nothing distinguishes your work and brings recognition to you more than honors. On the auspicious National Day of Oman, we are delighted to announce that the YCIS volunteers of Indian School Sohar, have earned BOD recognition for their tough-grind work in community services. This recognition highlights the outstanding work of Afwan Shaikh, Swanandi Garudkar, Gauri Nair and Aashna Puri during the years 2018-19 & 2019-20 for their focus on supporting people, serving the community and taking actions to preserve environmental sustainability and received mementos and certificate for their noble work. The YCIS coordinator, Mrs. Indira Sukumaran also received mementos from the BOD for her overall coordination.

We thank the Board of Directors for shining a light on the often-hidden social work of our compassionate volunteers. We also thank our Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma for her perpetual encouragement of the drives conducted. The YCIS coordinator, Mrs. Indira Sukumaran and co-coordinators, Mrs. Divya Johari, Mrs. Anam Shaikh, Mrs. Shahnaz Khan, Mrs. Deepa Riju and Mrs. Selvi Anandagiri provided ceaseless support to the volunteers for conducting various drives with a motto to render selfless services to the community.

We appreciate and thank the volunteers and their parents for taking the small steps and big strides towards positive change every single day. It is also time to recognize that there is a new generation of social workers coming to the fore who are already making a positive mark on our society. Let their candles of hope, shine till eternity.
