COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on physical activity and sports. Participation in sports and games was widely curtailed to reduce viral spread. After a long gap students got an opportunity to participate in Football, courtesy Indian Social Club.
The Football team of ISS comprising of the students (Boys) and Omani staff participated in the 9-A-side Corporate Football League Tournament 2022 organized by Indian Social Club, Sohar on 1st April 2022 at Naidul Arabi Grounds, Sallan.
The team played the first match against Khimji Ramdas LLC Sohar at a rapid pace full of vigour. After lots of attacks and counter attacks, the team lost the match by 2-0. In the second league match against CPI, the ISS team fought well and played a controlled game but lost the match by 2-1. The only goal scorer for the team was Soofi Abrar. The coaching and guidance were provided by the team coach Mr. Nikhil More. Omani staff played a vital role in the defense. The captain of the team was Aneesh Kadam.

Principal Sanchita Verma appreciated the team for their enthusiastic participation and motivated the players to work hard for the upcoming tournaments.
