“Before kids can play like a pro, they must enjoy playing the game like a kid.”
The Physical Education Department of Indian School Sohar organized a Sports ‘Fun Day’ for the tiny tots of kindergarten on 3rd March 2022. Children were thrilled and enjoyed playing with their friends on the open grounds of the school. The Mickey Mouse mascot added excitement and fun for the children.
Sports and games help in the social, emotional, and physical development of children. They learn to interact with their peers and play as a team and follow the rules which build discipline and self-confidence in the budding champions.
To inculcate the power of team spirit and joy of playing together in young minds, the PE Department, brought forth the event and conducted a variety of games like Tug of war, Relay race, Hurdle race, Balloon shooting, Parachute race, and Colour game. The event was coordinated by Mr. Gagandeep Singh. The Tug-of-War among the teachers added energy and thrill.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma along with Vice Principals Dr. Vinu Kumar, and Mr. Yashvir Singh, Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel, HOD Physical Education Mr. Kamal Gurung, PE staff, and the teachers of KG-II also joined the event to motivate the kids.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma shared her happiness and joy to see the children enjoying themselves and was delighted to see the school activities getting back to normal after the pandemic and appreciated the PE Department for the efforts.
