The students of Std. XI 2021-2022 of Indian School Sohar organized an amazing farewell for their seniors, the outgoing Std. XII batch on Saturday, 16th April 2022. It served as a fete to reminisce joyous moments. It was the time for reflection, sentiments, expression of gratitude and ceremonial goodbye.
Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. It was followed by games and cultural programmes for the students. There was scintillating dance, pulsating music and a video presentation depicting their cherished memories at ISS. The entertaining games attracted much attention. The hosts impressed all showcasing their appreciable anchoring skills.
Three outgoing students, Sanchita Swami, Vibhavan and Aryan Pandey delivered their valedictory speeches sharing their experiences at ISS. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time that they spent in the school acquiring education for life. Students reminisced their fun-filled days in school and expressed how difficult it is for them to go out of the portals of their alma mater.
The Principal counseled the students about finding their place in the world. She also reminded them to be part of the school alumni and asked them to focus on their studies dedicating their last few months in school to achieve their goals. The announcement of the much-awaited titles Mr. & Miss ISS, Mr. & Miss. Popular and Mr. & Miss Evening by the Principal took the function to the peak of excitement. Muhammed Rabah Mundathote and Pranjal Gupta bagged the titles Mr. Popular and Miss Popular respectively. When Ojas Golyan was adjudged Mr. ISS, Pranjal Gupta was adjudged Miss. ISS. The Mr. and Miss Evening titles went to Vinayak Gupta and Sanchita Swami. The Vice-Principal, Dr. Vinukumar during his speech recounted his experiences with the students and also said that they make up an integral part of the school community.
The winners of the games included Muhammed Rabah Mundathote & team, Kavya Malviya & team and Abdul Aleem Aamir Mohamed & team. By releasing the bunch of balloons with the hearty best wishes, the Principal showered all the good wishes from the School Managing Committee, Principal, Staff and Student Community and wished they too would be soaring to new heights in the vast sky of their life.
