The prestigious ‘Navin Asher-Kazi Awards for Excellence in Teaching’ was organized by Indian School Al Seeb on 28 February 22, under the aegis of the Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman.
Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma was felicitated with ‘Recognition of Meritorious Achievement’ Award. She was presented with a citation and a certificate of appreciation.
Ms. Sanchita Verma has co-authored " Pedagogical Leadership: A Handbook for Leading Learning in Schools", published by the Central Board of Secondary Education and National Institute of Educational Planning & Administration, New Delhi.
The handbook on Pedagogical Leadership defines school leadership in Indian context and explores the process of leading schools by principals in Indian context. This book is being used to redefine the roles of principals as pedagogical leaders taking a shift from administrative roles in all schools affiliated to CBSE (India and Abroad), NVS and KVS.
She has edited, and reviewed the Hindi version of the book also.
She was deeply involved in large scale implementation and training of principals of CBSE schools in India & abroad as well as of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas as a CBSE resource person.
The President, Members of School Managing Committee, and staff congratulated the principal on her achievement.
