Indian School Sohar celebrated Shri Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti on 09th May 2022 to commemorate 161st birth anniversary of India's first Nobel laureate. A special assembly was conducted class-wise by the English department.

The celebration began with a prayer song followed by the thoughts about cherishing the legacy Shri Rabindranath Tagore’s.

A video was shown to the students to help them learn more about his exemplary life and teachings. The students presented a speech, enacted as Rabindranath Tagore and a short quiz was conducted to inculcate his teachings and learnings. The special assembly concluded with the national anthem.

With the joint efforts of the students, English teachers, Coordinator Ms. Dishita Dave, and Head of English Department Ms. Divya Johari, Vice- Principals Dr. Vinu Kumar & Mr. Yashvir Singh and Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, the assembly was indeed highly successful as it brought in the spirit of unity, love, positivity & hope, and the students got an opportunity to showcase their talents and immense respect to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
