A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops, said Henry Adams. Every year, a day comes, when the students get the opportunity to shower their teachers with gratitude and affection. In order to do this, a special assembly was organized in honour of the teachers on Teachers’ Day, annually celebrated on September 5th. The event started with a prayer song and was followed by a floral tribute and opening address by the Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma. She warmly welcomed everyone in her speech and paid her respects to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. She congratulated the teachers and thanked them warmly and appreciated all the efforts and hard work over the past years, through many challenges and difficulties which they have faced. The teachers too appreciated the efforts of the Student Council and the students. They were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic expression of their love and affection.
The main programme included diverse performances from students of Std. XI and XII. There were a variety of performances like songs, dances, recitation and music bands, video presentations and speeches. An entertaining gameshow was also held that witnessed great participation from teachers.
Mr. Sudarshan Gupta, Faculty, IT Department and Kavita Rajesh, Faculty, Maths Department proposed the vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by the school council and was headed by the Ex-school Captain, Rohan Suchitran, XII B Monitor, Aadiya Dilna Anish, and School Captains Aman Saji and Ashna Puri. Let us remember with love: “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”.
