The department of Social Science organized the Model United Nations Assembly 2022 on 3rd November'22, offering a platform to showcase the diplomatic and leadership skills in students. It was aimed at encouraging delegates to work together, strive for collaboration, and see beyond their differences to find out interesting solutions to the challenges the world faces today.
Mr. Rajasekaran, HoD, Department of Social Science, gave a comprehensive overview of the program. He spoke about the purpose of conducting MUN as an important strategy of youth development, their training in international diplomacy and as an opportunity to participate in global affairs. Student delegates representing 18 different countries spoke on issues of global concern and explored the various ways to achieve the UN agenda of SDGs 2030. The ambience created on the stage added to the impact on the audience.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma, addressed the students and referred to the MUN as an ideal stepping stone into the global arena. Highlighting the need for public speaking, she appreciated the participants and encouraged the students to take up such opportunities for improving their communication skills and global acumen. She then distributed the certificates, including the Best Presenters, who were judged on the basis of their research, delivery and confidence.

The Vice Principal Mr. Yashvir Singh, Supervisor Ms. Indira Sukumaran and the HoDs congratulated the participants on remarkable presentation.
It was an exciting, enriching, and rewarding experience which helped the students to imbibe the core values of leadership, responsibility, and team spirit of the delegates.
