“Children prosper best with a broad curriculum that celebrates their various talents, not just a small range of them”
Indian School Sohar participated in the Indian Schools Talent Fest - 2022, a mega cultural extravaganza organised by Indian School Al Seeb under the aegis of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman on 28th and 29th October 2022.
Students participated enthusiastically and exhibited their talent in 17 interschool events and 3 school events. They displayed their talents by participating in various events like Indian Light Vocal, Indian Classical Dance, Step up with Props, World Folk Dance, Shakespearean Character Comes Alive, My Twist on a Tale (Creative Writing) Poetry Recitation (English and Hindi), Spell Bee, Extempore Speech, Reclaim the Runway (Fashion Show), Doodle Art, Comic Strip, Rubik's Cube, etc. The students staged spectacular performances in colourful attires using fascinating props and backdrops making everyone spell bound.
Out of the 17 interschool events our school was graded A+ in 5 events, A in 5 events, B+ in 4 events , B in 3 events and C in 3 events. All the three school events were awarded certificates.
The Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma appreciated and applauded the students for showcasing their talents. The appreciation not only helped students to show their abilities but also motivated other students, to come up front and show their hidden potential. She thanked all the teachers for preparing and guiding the students.
Ms. Mini Susam Lal, School Coordinator for ISTF thanked the Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma and Supervisor, Middle Section, Ms. Indira Sukumaran and all other teacher in charges of various events for their involvement, motivation and support at every step.
All students actively participated in the events and showed their enthusiasm and dedication. It was a great opportunity to enhance creativity and boost the morale of each participant.
