Education imparted by heart can bring revolution in the society – Maulana Abul Kalam Azad
National Education Day is an annual observance in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of independent India, who served from 15 August 1947 until 2 February 1958. National Education Day of India is celebrated on 11 November every year. It is also seen as an occasion to remember Maulana Azad's contribution in laying the foundations of the education system in an independent India.
Indian school Sohar celebrated National Education Day, in the form of special assembly. Students presented thought, poem and speech signifying this day. A special documentary depicting the importance prepared under the guidance of Mathematics department was shown to the students.
The life of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad will always remain an inspiration for the young minds and thus will inspire towards the development and education of our country.
