Green Gyan Eco Club of Indian School Sohar celebrated Oman Environment Day on Sunday, January 08, 2023. It was celebrated to fulfil its commitment to the host nation in preserving the environment and its resources.

Committed to keeping the environment of Oman clean and green, the Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice-Principal Mr. Yashvir Singh, Club Coordinator, Teachers, Omani staff, and Students planted various saplings on the school premises.

Interacting with the students, the Principal mentioned how small endeavours can make a big difference and emphasized the importance of spreading awareness to save the environment by planting trees that save humanity. She also reminded how the use of plastic has caused damage to the earth and encouraged young hands to protect nature.

The Principal appreciated the initiative taken up by the Green Gyan Eco Club and congratulated the team for organizing events that preserve the natural beauty of this ravishing land. The event was successfully coordinated by Overall Coordinator Kamal Gurung and Club Coordinator Ms. Saima Ahmad. The event came to an end with everyone pledging to keep the host country Oman clean and green.
