"School is the second home of the students and the students are the heartbeat of the school."

The students of Std. XI of Indian School Sohar organized an emotional farewell for their seniors, the outgoing Std. XII batch of 2023. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers and to reminisce joyous moments.

The incredible Ramp Walk by the outgoing students was a treat to the eyes and each one competed with the other for the coveted titles Mr. and Miss Evening. The function was inaugurated by the Principal, Vice - Principal, class teachers of XII and a few student representatives by lighting the lamp. The auditorium was festooned with the cultural programme by the students of Class XI. The mesmerizing dances aptly set the momentum for the day.  The choir exhibited the eternal bond of friendship, which charmed the audience. 

Principal, Ms. Sanchita Verma enlightened the occasion adding a charm to the prevalent atmosphere by her inspiring words. She generously imparted her wisdom and guided students towards the right path. She urged them to look upon this event as a celebration of their years at their Alma Mater and gave them helpful advice on how to juggle between the expectation of their family and society with their own aspirations.

Various games like Trivia Time, Heads Up and Karaoke enlivened and thrilled the audience. The video 'Recounting Memories' provided glimpse of the Class XII students making them nostalgic. The Principal, Vice-Principal and teachers of Class XII bid the beloved students a warm goodbye and wished them the best of luck for their future through a series of written messages which were displayed in the form of a PowerPoint Presentation. The function symbolically expressed token of remembrance and love to all the outgoing students by presenting them with mementos.

The outgoing students, Nitya Ajayan, Rohan Suchithran, Aneesh Praful  and Vignesh Aranganathan re-lived their bittersweet memories at ISS and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the school team for being instrumental in shaping their personalities and providing them with stellar opportunities.

The much-awaited result of the titles Miss & Mr ISS, Miss & Mr. Popular & Miss & Mr. Eve were announced. Rohan Suchithran was adjudged Mr. ISS, Krithyaa Vijayanand as Miss ISS, Mr. Popular was earned by Cherish Varghese Binny while Miss Popular was Sakshi Vijay Shetty, Mr. Evening was bagged by Vignesh Aranganathan and Miss Evening was earned by Meghna Jayakumar. Emberly Pereira of Class XII proposed the vote of thanks. The programme had a befitting end by releasing balloons into the air wishing good luck to all the students.
