‘Story Telling is about connecting to other people and helping people to see what you see’ - Michael Margolis

Young children have an innate love for stories. Story telling is a unique way that encourages students to use their imagination and creativity. It increases willingness to communicate their thoughts and feelings and most importantly enhances listening skills.

Stories make us laugh, cry, jump with fright and then comfort us with a happy ending.

To enhance these skills in our little ones, the Kindergarten wing of Indian School Sohar conducted a Story Telling Competition on 25th January 2023 under the guidance of the section Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel.

Children narrated moral based stories with confidence, expressions and proper pronunciation. Each story concluded with moral highlighting different values of life.

The young students were appreciated and applauded for their wonderful performances by Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel and judges - Ms. Dishita Dave, Ms. Aparna Mukherjee and Ms.Ekta Talwar.

The winners of the competition are:

First position – Vamakshi Sharma  (UKG  Lavender )

Second position – Nuha Fathima (UKG  Daffodil)

Third position – Aadhya Dhanil (UKG  Marigold)
