Indian School Sohar organized Kindergarten Sports Fun Day on 25th February 2023 for the tiny tots. The event took place in the spacious sports ground of the school. The Chief Guest Mr. Ajay Damani, Treasurer, School Managing Committee graced the occasion. Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma, Vice Principal Mr. Yashvir Singh, Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel, HOD Physical Education Mr. Kamal Gurung, PE staff, Administrative staff and the teachers of KG-II also joined the event to motivate the kids. The event saw 100% students and parents’ attendance.
The Chief Guest Mr. Ajay Damani and the Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma declared the Sports Fun Day open and released balloons into the air. The mascot of the Kindergarten Sports Fun Day, Mickey Mouse and Minnie, was the attraction of the day. On this special day the junior school choir presented a welcome song, which was followed by a welcome address by the beloved Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma.
The audience were thrilled to watch the dazzling stars present a spellbinding Pom Pom drill, which was applauded by all. There were some fun races for the buddies of LKG and UKG. Glowing in their spectacular outfits for the Buzzing Bees race, the tiny tots of LKG, dressed up as honeybees, were buzzing around the flowers to collect them. Next was the Hot Cross Buns race for the LGK boys, where the children were dressed up as bakers, and collected hot buns on their trays. Let’s Take A Selfie race for the UKG girls added to the joy of watching the girls dressing up and posing for a selfie. Get Ready For The Beach race for UKG boys was the last race for the young ones.
Most exciting part of the day was the Parents’ Event, where the parents got an opportunity to prove their physical fitness and enjoy the games too. The HPE department had arranged for recreational games like Feed the Clown, Balloon Popping, Target shooting, Dash Dolls, etc. for the parents and students. A big bouncy was set up to give kids a way to unleash their ample energy while building valuable coordination skills and balance.
The achievement of the little stars and all the winners were honoured by the Chief Guest Mr. Ajay Damani and the Principal Ms. Sanchita Verma by presenting awards.
The rollicking event finally came to an end with the Vote of Thanks by the Supervisor Ms. Gauri Gadgeel. It was a day filled with goodness, innocence, and purity.
