Indian School Sohar is delighted to announce the outstanding results of its students in the Standard XII Exams conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in March 2023. The results are a testament to the exceptional leadership and able guidance of our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, who was ably supported by the Vice-Principal, Mr. Yashvir Singh. Surely, this is an outcome of her exceptional ability to motivate and inspire students, set clear expectations, and provide personalized support and resources to help students succeed. In the Science Stream, a staggering 51 out of 75 students surpassed the remarkable benchmark of 75%, while 14 out of 30 students in the prestigious institution achieved a similar feat. The school also celebrated the achievements of its subject toppers and overall toppers.
The overall toppers in the Science Stream are Swati Rajesh (97.8%), Krithyaa Vijayanand (97.4%), and Rohan Suchithran (96.4%). In the commerce stream, Meghna Jayakumar (97%), Pakhi Golyan (95.4%), and Aranganathan Vignesh (91.6%) are the overall toppers. The celebration at Indian School Sohar knew no bounds when Meghna Jayakumar achieved the impressive title of Oman Topper in the Commerce Stream, while Swati Rajesh was ranked second in the Science Stream.
Swati Rajesh topped in Physics and also Mathematics, along with Pranav Sabareesh M P, Advait Nair, Krithyaa Vijayanand, Nithya Ajayan, Pritesh Tripathi and Meghna Jayakumar. Swati Rajesh, Krithyaa Vijayanand and Rohan Suchithran shared the top spot in Chemistry with a perfect score of 100. Rohan Suchithran also topped in Biology. Anubrata Das scored the highest in Physical Education with 98 marks. Meghna Jayakumar also topped in Business Studies, Accountancy, and Mathematics. Pakhi Golyan topped English and Economics with 99 and 97 marks respectively. Aranganathan Vignesh topped in Entrepreneurship with 97 marks. Pranav Sabareesh M P, Krithyaa Vijayanand, Gopika Korambeth, Ajisth Shukla, Rishika Rajesh, and Patimedi Madhumitha aced Informatics Practices with a perfect score of 100.
The students attributed their success to their dedication, perseverance, and effective planning. They also expressed their gratitude to the school for providing them with an excellent platform to excel academically and holistically. The Principal, Mrs. Sanchita Verma, congratulated the students for their brilliant performance and stated, "The school is very proud of the students whose results are a credit to the school and it is the combined upshot of the persistent support of parents, relentless efforts of students and the dedication of teachers." The SMC also appreciated the vision and guidance of the Principal, the efficiency and commitment of the staff, and the strategic studies of the students.
